Art In Motion
Art in motion was a very exciting class. In this class we explored Calder's mobile making, and Jackson Pollock paint throwing. We also learned how to drawing people in motion.

Animals In Art
I also taught the class animals in art during the summer of 2008. We experimented with many different types of painting. Projects done ranged from painting a chameleon to match a scenic picture, breaking down an animal into basic shapes, learning about Australian art and tigers in a jungle.
Books and Boxes
One of the classes I taught the summer of 2008 was books and boxes. In this class we made a variety of different kinds of books and boxes, but to make sure the students were learning fine art practices- we discussed the elements of art and design. Ever after project was related to the elements in some way if it was exploring complementary colors, positive and negative space, organic and geometric shapes and more. This class was full of spunk and good ideas that mainly steamed from the girls that were in it!
Another summer awaits
I decided that since it will be my second summer teaching at the art house, and it is the age of the internet and blogging it would be fun to have a blog specifically for the art house. This gives me the opportunity to post what I am teaching, the students to see what I like to teach as well as giving the parents an opportunity to see who I am!
